I just can't help it

Now normally I do not get into the whole celebrity obsession thing...

But the other night I was flipping channels and found myself unable to flip past TBS's airing of Clueless. I am a sucker for mindless funny movies and I used to love this movie...I think when I was 20 or something! Anyway something told me to just stay put then there he was. I had completely forgotten about "Josh". I think it has something to do with the combination of him seeming just so sweet and nice and... well let's face it... being so "brutally HOT"!

Wonder where I've been????



We are finally starting to dry out down here from Tropical Storm Fay. For the past 3 days we (me and the kids that is) have been cooped in the house. This time we were lucky, the power only going out for brief spells. So even though we couldn't go out I had the kids on a steady diet of Scooby Doo, Air Buddies and Wii- wonderful huh? Thankfully Fay did not hit us as a hurricane, only as a VERY slow moving Tropical Storm. Still enough to scare the pants off me. The sound of the wind howling and the sheets of rain hittting the side of the house made me feel like we were on a sinking ship. Our bedroom windows face the northeast so it was so loud in there I had to "sleep" in the recliner in the living room. Notice I said "I"...Robby managed to escape our island home in his dad's big mamoth truck and work both nights. All in all we fared pretty well though and I think today we can finally get out of the neighborhood in the ol Camry. Woohoo- I've never been so excited to go to Publix!

10- Mommy, I just keep thinking about decorations....are we going to take them down tomorrow? (she had her birthday party today)

I Can't Believe It's Almost Over!

Only a week left of summer vacation for my big guy. Mostly I am so sad, he is growing up so fast- 1st grade- yikes! How did this happen??? While looking at backpacks yesterday I see the cute Thomas ones, that are really too baby for him now sitting next to the scary looking ones with flames and mutant transformers. He may be ready for those.. but I am NOT! I still have about a month with L2 before preK so I am not freaking out about her just yet.

We have been taking advantage of these last days with L1 in our new (get this!) CAR WASH sprinkler thingie. This thing is AWESOME- good for literally HOURS of entertainment. We thought we were making a big spurge purchase on this one at $40, but it rang up 1/2 off- BONUS! Too bad it doesn't have a built in ac unit for me though- it's only about 100 here Uggg!
